Marcos Monroy is a Mexican multidisciplinary artist and graphic designer currently based in Taipei, Taiwan. Born in 1985 in Mexico City, he worked in advertising for a decade before shifting his career toward painting and illustration.

Since 2020, he has been based in Taipei, where he began his artistic journey, gradually gaining recognition from the Taiwanese public.

His work primarily focuses on painting and illustration, drawing strong inspiration from his life as an expat in Asia. Through his pieces, he explores personal experiences and reflections on identity. Experimenting with various media and techniques, Marcos moves fluidly between portraits, landscapes, and abstract compositions. A distinctive element of his work is the incorporation of local paper, particularly newspaper and comics, which he frequently uses as a background for his paintings.
